In May, Ferrari F1 driver and race winner Sebastian Vettel announced that he would be leaving the team after the 2020 Formula 1 season.

Vettel is one of almost 40 drivers who have won Formula 1 for the Ferrari works team. This goes back to José Froilán González’s first win for the team at Silverstone in 1951. Vettel’s current team-mate Charles Leclerc became the brand’s 38th different winner when he triumphed on September 1, 2019 at Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium.

The next rider to have the chance to add his name to the list is Carlos Sainz Jr., who has pledged to replace Vettel in 2021. With Ferrari’s recent history, it’s hard not to like your chances.

The last full-time driver (a driver who has started at least 75% of the races in a season) that Ferrari has not won at least one race during his career with the team is Ivan Capelli (1992). The full-time Ferrari drivers with at least one win for the team since Capelli include Jean Alesi, Gerhard Berger, Michael Schumacher, Eddie Irvine, Rubens Barrichello, Felipe Massa, Kimi Räikkönen, Fernando Alonso, Vettel and Leclerc.

Here’s a look at all of the 1951 Ferrari F1 race winners, listed in the order of their first race win for the team:
