Red Bull boss Christian Horner has said that Mercedes could be a factor at the British Grand Prix and that Ferrari might be bringing upgrades to Silverstone.
The Milton Keynes-based team are still in the process of celebrating their win in Montreal this evening but attention will quickly turn to the next round of the championship, which sees the home Grand Prix for many of the teams here in the UK.
Certainly, Red Bull will be looking to take victory with their factory based just down the road from Silverstone and you would not bet against them, given the stunning run of winning form they are on having not been away from the top step since Melbourne.
Horner, though, appears wary of the threat that both Ferrari and Mercedes may pose in a couple of weeks from now, with him speaking to Sky Sports after Max Verstappen’s win in Canada and having this to say:
“Mercedes’ pace at the end of the race was very strong so they could be a factor at [Silverstone,] so I think it’s going to be interesting to see.
“I’m hearing there’s going to maybe be some upgrades on the Ferrari for [Silverstone] so it’s going to be an interesting one.”

Certainly, the Mercedes looked strong in Canada during the race after a pretty concerning looking set of runs in practice and that will boost their fans with hopes that they are making progress with the car.
Ferrari have a quick package, too, and will be pleased that both drivers saw the finish in Montreal with Carlos Sainz in P2 and Charles Leclerc recovering from P19 on the grid to P5.
