Two drivers, Charles Leclerc and Mick Schumacher, who are synonymous with Ferrari for various reasons, announced which historic Ferrari Formula 1 cars they would most like to take for a spin. And luckily for Schumacher, he has already driven his favorite Scuderia machinery …
Mick Schumacher is of course the son of the seven-time Formula 1 champion and the Ferrari legend Michael Schumacher. And before the Portuguese Grand Prix, the Haas rookie said he’d love to drive two of his father’s Ferraris that he’s already behind the wheel.

When asked which historic Ferrari F1 cars he would like to try out, Mick Schumacher replied: “Well, it’s very simple: the car from 2002 or 2004.
“I think they are the most successful cars there are and I think they are amazing cars to drive,” he said. “The sound of that, I mean everything.

“I actually drove both and the last one was the 2004 Mugello car and I think it would be amazing to drive these cars on their respective tires that they used in that era. Hopefully we can do that soon. “
The 22-year-old Formula 2 champion drove his father’s Ferrari F2002 in Fiorano in 2019 and drove an emotional drive in his father’s F2004 at the 2019 German Grand Prix before taking the wheel again before the 2020 Mugello Grand Prix.
Ferrari’s current racing driver Leclerc, who recently picked up the car in which he won the 2019 Italian and Belgian Grand Prix, wanted to go back to the 1970s.
Leclerc’s choice of the historic Ferrari
“Definitely 2004 and maybe one more,” he began. “I was at the Monaco Grand Prix on Friday. I can’t remember exactly what it was. But Niki Lauda’s Ferrari – Jean’s [Alesi] was at the Monaco Historic Grand Prix – I can’t remember exactly which year? It looked incredible and very special to drive too. So one of these two, ”he said.
Alesi, who made a name for himself against Ayrton Senna in Phoenix in 1990, was lucky enough to drive Lauda’s 1974 Ferrari 312B3 in the historic Monaco race last weekend.
Hopefully the Monaco-born Leclerc will get the keys next …
