This is a somewhat dubious record. Yes, it’s impressive in terms of points that show your ability. On the other hand, getting points without a race win means roughly good, but not good enough.

And the Spaniard would like to change that immediately. Because his talent and his ability to win races are beyond question. And you don’t have to look for evidence any further than the recent race in Saudi Arabia.

After starting from P15, Sainz finished a race-long duel between the two Ferrari drivers behind his team-mate Charles Leclerc in P7. And if you look at the years of battle between Sainz and Leclerc, you can tell a lot about the talent of the former.

Charles Leclerc is an established Ferrari company. He has won enough races and taken enough podiums to show the Italians his courage.

But in just his first season at Ferrari, Carlos Sainz has pushed Charles Leclerc into the background, constantly challenging him week after week. That’s not to say that both drivers have a rift or unhealthy competition.

Just if Sainz can challenge and surpass someone like Leclerc, then his talent is there for everyone to see.

Sainz has been on the podium three times so far this season, Leclerc only once. Yes, he has fewer points on the table but there is no doubt that Carlos Sainz will not look back after his first win.

And with Ferrari betting heavily on the 2022 car, it’s only a matter of time before Sainz Adios says something about that unfortunate record of most points with no wins.
