The sport will have a double top in the Middle East at the start of the 2022 season. The first race will take place from March 18-20, 2022 on the Sakhir International Circuit, the second race on the Jeddah Circuit in Saudi Arabia.

F1 will host a record 23 races in the 2022 season
As Formula1.com reports, the sport will host a record 23 races in the 2022 season. But just like 2020 and 2021, safety will be a priority for the season.
“The 2022 season follows two unprecedented years for Formula 1, in which the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in a revised calendar of 17 races in 2020 and 22 races in 2021 – an enormous achievement given the international nature of the sport”, said F1.

“We’re excited to announce the 2022 calendar as we prepare to enter a new era for the sport, with brand new regulations and cars for the next year designed to bring racing closer,” said F1 CEO the announcement of the 2022 calendar.

There are many things to look forward to before the season opener in Sakhir. Ferrari has announced that they will be the first team to show their 2022 car. The Italian team mentioned that they have not yet set the date but will present the car in February.
“The car will be presented in mid-February. We haven’t set the date yet. This is the date from February 16 to 18, but it will be finalized in the next few weeks, ”said Mattia Binotto.
