The Formula1 Twitter has seen some rib-tickling incidents over the years. One such incident was triggered by the Mercedes F1 team. The event was completely unintentional, but it kicked off somewhat of a trend in the community. It had all the teams tweeting. Even the F1 page admin could not help himself from joining in on the fun.

When all the teams left space
Back in 2019, most of the F1 teams decided to engage in some harmless fun over social media. The entire saga started with this tweet, supporting Valtteri Bottas, by the Mercedes team admin.

The teams did not take long to join in with Alpine (then called Renault), and Aston Martin (then called Racing Point), among the first to jump in.

The admin of the f1 page also tried his hand out at the trend, with a hilarious rendition of Fernando Alonso’s, “All the time you must leave the space.”

Such interactions between teams and trendsetting events are rare to come by these days. However, one can always remember and have a laugh about these incidents.

Since the start of the season, Mercedes have looked off the pace compared to Red Bull and Ferrari. The first race proved just that, as they were majorly fighting the Haas of Kevin Magnussen. However, a stroke of fortune ensured that Hamilton picked up a podium and Russell finished P4 in Bahrain.
The second race in Jeddah was not much better as they were once again way behind the leaders Ferrari and Red Bull, with Hamilton finishing P10. However, the 3rd round in Australia saw major improvement as the team finished P3 and P4 with Russell and Lewis, respectively.
