The streets of Baku hosted another insane race last Sunday. Although Vettel started from P11, he fought his way up the grid and finished an impressive P2.
He started the race on a set of soft tires, which he did excellently in the first 19 laps of the race. With a new set of hard tires, Vettel climbed to P6 before his teammate Lance Stroll crashed on lap 30. After the safety car was retracted, Vettel immediately jumped Charles Leclerc and Pierre Gasly to P4.
On lap 47, Vettel was more lucky after the leader Max Verstappen fell out of the race. A standing start after the resulting red flag meant that Lewis Hamilton fell back to P15 and Vettel finally brought second place. In the “Land of Fire” he continued his good form, and his exploits earned him the “Driver of the Day”.
Although Schumacher was at the very back during the entire race, the German was happy about his compatriot. He said, “Woah, really good! Happy! Happy for him. “

The 21-year-old achieved his highest result of his F1 career with P13 in Baku. Although only 16 cars finished the race, the German managed to stay out of anger and cross the finish line behind Mercedes-Valtteri Bottas.
Although Haas is far behind the pack at the moment, Schumacher has shown lightning speed in some races so far. As a product of the Ferrari Drivers Academy, the German will try to stay ahead of his teammate Nikita Mazepin as he tries to score improbable points in the remaining 17 races.
