After a long wait, the marshals finally pulled the car off the track. However, Vettel was in the spotlight. Despite his apparent disappointment, he knew exactly what to do; the quick knowledge that other drivers on the grid may lack. After quickly clearing and checking his car, Vettel was emptied. The session was important to understand the new track and Vettel couldn’t even start it.
Although there is still time for the second session, it doesn’t look like Vettel will hit the track this Friday. There is no doubt that the Aston Martin engineers will do their best to save the car at least in time for the final practice session on Saturday morning.
