On February 1st, Aston Martin will introduce a new performance variant of the DBX. You’ll know a burly Aston is on the way if you check out the teaser below.
It gives you an idea of how the Performance variant of the DBX sounds. Currently, the standard DBX is powered by an AMG-related twin-turbo 4-liter V8 engine with 543 hp. We have a hunch Aston Martin will continue with the same engine but will beef it up a notch or two.
And from what we can see through the teaser image Aston shared on his Instagram, it appears there will be some changes aside from its bumpy performance. We can see the DBX sporting new large-diameter wheels with five twin spokes and low-profile tires, as well as a new front bumper with redesigned intakes and DRLs, a sharp-looking splitter, a slightly wider rear spoiler, and a more noticeable rear bumper with what appears to be a diffuser. Although we can’t see much from this vantage point, if the spy pics of the camouflaged prototypes floating around the internet are true, it could also have a larger grille and four tailpipes.

There is a good chance that this performance variant will become the safety car of the 2022 F1 season. We’re also hoping the Aston Martin F1 team can bring some firepower to the track this season.
