
Stroll was one of the few drivers who stayed outside on slick tires when it rained at the Sochi Autodrom.
The Canadian hit Gasly in the back while recovering from his own spin.
It was one of two incidents that Stroll was involved in late and collided with Aston Martin team-mate Sebastian Vettel a few laps earlier.
Stroll’s 10-second penalty does not affect his race result and leaves him on 11th place.
The stewards believed that Stroll was “entirely to blame” for the collision with Gasly that occurred at Turn 8.
