“Sebastian will get the best out of Lance” – Aston Martin F1 team boss Otmar Szafnauer is looking forward to the Vettel-Stroll couple this season.
Aston Martin F1 returns to the sport this season with Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll. This after Sergio Perez was sacked for the former at the team’s previous Avatar Racing Point.

While Vettel is a four-time world champion, Stroll is a raw talent who exceeded expectations last season, taking two podiums and taking a pole position. In an interview with Motorsport.com, Aston Martin team boss Otmar Szafnauer called it “extremely exciting” for them and is fascinated by the mix of the two drivers.
“It’s very exciting for everyone on the team. In Sebastian we have a proven four-time world champion who has experience helping teams win and master races. That’s why he’s such an important new addition for us. He has a winning mentality and we will undoubtedly all learn a lot from him on this journey.
“In Lance we have a young and talented hard working driver who enjoyed his best season so far last year and made real progress in every aspect of his racing. We know if we give him the tools he’ll be more than capable of helping the team achieve their goals.
“We also believe Sebastian will get the best out of Lance, with Lance pushing Sebastian hard in return, so we’re excited about our line-up for 2021. It’s the ideal mix of experience, winning expertise and raw talent. “
