The 2021 F1 season ended with Red Bull winning its first title since 2013. The last world champion with Red Bull, Sebastian Vettel, took 12th place in the drivers’ championship this season with the Aston Martin team. Vettel left Ferrari at the end of the 2020 F1 season to join the Silverstone-based team.

The German is one of the most popular drivers in F1 because of his human qualities and heroics on the track. Most recently, he reflected on his debut season with the team in an interview with the German website Blick. Among other things, he discussed his future with the team.

Sebastian Vettel has a good relationship with Stroll
The Aston Martin team will continue with the same driver line-up for the 2022 season. Vettel shares the seat with Lance Stroll, the son of the team owner Lawrence Stroll. The Canadian has shown impressive performances for the former Racing Point team over the past three seasons.
In the most recent interview with Blick, Vettel shared righteous thoughts about his relationship with his teammate. When asked if he had problems with the 23-year-old because his father owns the team, Vettel replied disagreed.

“Not at all. We have a professional relationship. And the team works that way, has been attracting many employees for the new start for months,” said the German, as the Blick reports.
“There is a great atmosphere of optimism. I like that and I also like to drive on. New things have always motivated me, ”added the four-time world champion.
Vettel is happier now than at Ferrari

The German was with the Red Team for six seasons between 2015-20. In the 2017 and 2018 seasons, he finished second behind Lewis Hamilton. The eagerly awaited title did not come with the Italian team for Sebastian Vettel.
When asked about the drastic change of teams and how he deals with it, Vettel gave an optimistic answer. “Well, my departure from Ferrari was maybe a little weird. In that regard, I am happier now than I was before. But I would never want to miss my time at Ferrari, ”said Vettel, as reported by Blick.
“Even if my planned great successes did not occur there. We wanted to be world champions, ”he added.

Vettel won the Crypto.com Overtake Award for most overtaking maneuvers this season. However, the fans want to see him firing at championships again. With the new regulations, he hopes to take a big step forward in the next F1 season.
