Lance Stroll shared the pleasant feeling of being rested and returning to the sport. He said: “Because of my Belgian origins, Spa is always a kind of home race for me. It’s one of my favorite Grand Prix of the year. Anything can happen in Spa! “

Stroll has always considered Spa one of its home races. Confident about going to Spa, he says, “It was nice to take a break and return with maximum concentration and determination for the second half of the year.”

Lance Stroll’s Belgian GP

Lance Stroll may have fallen in love with the track as he has valued it so highly for a long time. Last year he praised the track with the words: “A Formula 1 car really comes to life in Spa … You really get the feeling of pushing a car to its limits and understanding what it can do on such tracks.”

Nevertheless, he also feels connected to the country. Stroll’s mother Claire-Ann is from Belgium. He once said: “I have Belgian blood in me. It’s always great to go ‘back’ to Belgium … Spa is always a highlight of the season for me and I can’t wait to get out of there. “

Lance wants to impress on his “home track”; On the track, however, a starting penalty of five places awaits him. After braking incorrectly in the first corner on the Hungaroring, Stroll collided with Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari.

Because of the incident, Stroll got two penalty points added to his super license, for a total of 6 in the last 12 months.
