Aston Martin is on track to become a successful team over the next five years. Lawrence Stroll’s famous “Five Year Plan” hopes to make the team a contender for the title. This includes hiring new staff, but some well-known names are moving out. One of them could be Otmar Szafnauer, as we hear whispered that the team boss is moving to Alpine.

This reconstruction of Aston Martin was a tremendous process, but Otmar is a popular name on the team; Szafnauer has been with the team since the Force India days. Still, the move could be good for the American, who is apparently under pressure because of Lawrence Stroll and his new leadership structure.

When he moves to Alpine, Otmar will take on the role of race director. The man he is replacing, Davide Brivio, had come to Alpine for a quiet role in the 2021 season and could try to get back to his Moto GP roots.

Rossi had said: “Is it the right organization for the next challenges and to keep climbing the ladder? I’ll judge that at the end of the season. ”Evolution seems to be the common theme.
To understand Szafnauer’s role in this development, it is important to remember that Alpine has three bosses. In contrast to Cyril Abiteboul, who was the sole team boss at Renault, the renaming to Alpine meant a new management structure. The three bosses are the managing director Marcin Budkowski and the race director Davide Brivio; both report to Rossi. Otmar will take over Brivio’s position.

Szafnauer is incredibly popular on his team, but the weak point lies with Lawrence Stroll. The two seem to disagree with each other’s roles, a problem that shouldn’t be with Rossi, who seems to be compatible with Szafnauer’s principles.
