The last time the Formula 1 community saw pink on an F1 track was with Racing Point. However, there are reports that suggest it could return to the grid in 2022, but this time with French team Alpine.

When Racing Point became Aston Martin, the Silverstone team replaced the British green with pink but kept BWT as sponsor. However, BWT is mentioned longer on the team’s website, which further speculates that they will be working with the Enstone-based team.
Alpine could bring the pink color back to Formula 1 in 2022

BWT has been in Formula 1 with Aston Martin for a number of years. However, recently they weren’t called as sponsors for the Silverstone-based outfit. In addition, French magazine Auto Hebdo has reproduced the challenger from Alpine 2022 with BWT as sponsor.
The rumor about the Austrian company only gets more interesting as Otmar Szafnauer has been heavily linked with the French team after parting ways with the team led by Lawrence Stroll
However, Aston Martin has not officially announced that they have ended their partnership with BWT. On the other hand, Alpine has not made any official statement about the Austrian company joining for the upcoming season.

Could the French team make a difference on the 2021 grid?
The Enstone-based team changed its name from Renault to Alpine for the 2021 season and signed two-time world champion Fernando Alonso to replace Daniel Ricciardo, who was en route to McLaren. The Spaniard teamed up with Esteban Ocon.

In the 2021 season, Ocon won his first Formula 1 race at the Hungarian Grand Prix. Alpine also offered him a contract that will keep him with the team until 2024.

On the other hand, Alonso, returning after a two-year sabbatical, proved he hadn’t forgotten what it’s like to be behind the wheel. This was evident at the Qatar Grand Prix where he finished third. The two-time world champion ended the 2021 season with 81 points in ninth place in the drivers’ standings.
