Red Bull wins Mercedes in the constructors' championship due to a mistake

The Qatar Grand Prix did not go entirely according to plan for Mercedes. Lewis Hamilton may have got away with a dominant win, but Valtteri Bottas fell due to a blowout. The damage was too great to end the race.

The gap between Red Bull and Mercedes is now only five points. Max Verstappen’s P2 and Sergio Perez’s P4 ensure that they close the gap. Mercedes is at 546.5 points while Red Bull now has 541.5 points.

Hamilton takes unassailable victory in Qatar, Verstappen celebrates a good comeback to P2

Ferrari extends its lead over McLaren when Daniel Ricciardo ended up outside the top ten. The Italian team has 297.5 points, McLaren is just behind with 258 points. Alpine also scored many points with Fernando Alonso’s podium and extended its lead over AlphaTauri.
