Red Bull missed this award in Spain too

Red Bull Racing already delivered the fastest pit stop in Bahrain and Portugal, but a third “victory” was not achieved in Spain. It was Aston Martin’s pit crew who pulled the plug and changed Lance Stroll’s four tires in 2.16 seconds.

Sergio Perez’s pit stop lasted 2.18 seconds, only two hundredths of a second slower than the fastest time on Sunday afternoon on the Barcelona circuit. Red Bull’s second and sixth place (Max Verstappen’s pit stop) in Bahrain brought Red Bull back to the top as rivals Mercedes and Williams scored significantly fewer points.

The third time that day was Nicholas Latifi’s pit stop at Williams. His tire change took five hundredths longer than Stroll’s. Ferrari and Mercedes are also back in the top 5. The fastest time of the season at the Bahrain Grand Prix is still 1.93 seconds ahead of Red Bull.
