Red Bull does good business, McLaren moves up to third

Red Bull Racing did excellent business at the French Grand Prix. The Austrians took first and third place with Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez and thus extended their lead in the constructors’ championship.

Mercedes had taken the lead over Red Bull at the start of the season, but that has changed in recent weeks. Thanks to the strong performances of Verstappen and Pérez, the team was able to catch up with the competition. With both drivers on the podium in France, Red Bull is further ahead in the constructors’ championship. The lead has grown to 37 points.

Mercedes was afraid of Verstappen: “That was our best option back then”

McLaren is in third place

Ferrari was in third place after the Azerbaijan GP but had a significantly worse day in France. McLaren took advantage of this as the team scored 18 points. McLaren are now 16 points ahead of the Italian team.
