
As last year, the FIA publishes the number of positive coronavirus tests for each Grand Prix week. As far as defense against the virus is concerned, Formula 1 has developed relatively well from the start, and this will not change in Imola either.
Less testing in Imola
Of the 4,523 tests taken in the week leading up to the GP last Sunday, only two were positive. That’s ten fewer than in Bahrain, where twelve people, including members of the Aston Martin team, tested positive. However, almost twice as many tests were done that week.

Even so, the percentage of positive tests is only 0.04 percent, compared with 0.15 percent in Bahrain. The tests are carried out on everyone active in the paddock, not just the drivers and team members of the F1 teams, but also the media and other support staff.
