Max Verstappen was the fastest man in the first free practice this morning. He couldn’t keep up that in the second training session. Mercedes dominated the session and ended up with Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas in P1 and P2.
It looks like Mercedes has found something compared to last week. Verstappen’s long runs on the middle tire looked fine, however. Honda is in top form again, with all four cars in the top ten. Tomorrow will show whether Mercedes has really found something or whether Verstappen is the strongest man in Austria again. Aston Martin also seems to do well with both drivers in the top 5.
