At the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, we said thank you and farewell to one of Formula One’s all-time greats.

Like Sebastian, our fans are a pivotal part of our journey as we climb together, and we’re committed to bringing you closer to the action. In Abu Dhabi, 400 names of I / AM members were picked at random to feature in the ‘Thank you Seb’ visuals on Sebastian’s car and in the AMF1 garage throughout the weekend.
Thousands of you also submitted your messages and videos of support to Sebastian, and we brought those messages trackside to wave Sebastian out of the garage for his last F1 race.
Together with Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0%, we gave I / AM members a once-in-lifetime opportunity to #FeelThePassionInside the F1 paddock as the season came to a close and we bade farewell to a sporting legend.
We asked them to share photos from the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend to be in with a chance of getting their hands on a coveted paddock pass. The winners were treated to a garage tour, witnessed pitstop practice, gained an exclusive preview of Sebastian’s helmet and got to see Sebastian’s first ever race suit up close.
Being there as Seb walked through the garage was an emotional moment that will remain in our memories forever.
“Seeing a different side of the sport, coupled with Seb’s last weekend, was incredibly humbling,” said Beth from the UK. “It’s something I will always be thankful to Aston Martin F1 for. Seeing Seb’s first race suit was so special, too.
“He has touched the hearts of so many and I was lucky to see something few get the chance to. A double points finish for Lance and Seb made the weekend even better!”
I / AM members Matt and Celie joined the AMF1 team as we clapped Sebastian into the garage for his last ever F1 race.
“It was an absolute privilege to join the AMF1 team. Being there as Seb walked through the garage was an emotional moment that will remain in our memories forever,” said South Africa-based Matt and Ceile. “Thanks, AMF1, for the amazing experience!”
“Ever since I’ve moved to London from China, I’ve tried to go to the European races such as Monza and Zandvoort, but never got the chance to see Seb,” added Sherry. “This weekend was really my last chance.
“Thank you so much – this really was a dream come true.”
All the attending I / AM members were then invited for a glass of Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0% in AMF1 hospitality and to follow the on-track action with the team.
“Seeing so much respect for Seb at his last race shows the impact he has had on the team and the sport,” said Peter. “A behind-the-scenes tour at AMF1, capped off with a cold Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0%, is something very special.”
All I can say is I’m absolutely blown away; my love for F1 and AMF1 is infinite.
