It’s fair to say the German hasn’t enjoyed the best of times in his last few seasons in sport. Before the 2020 season began, it was revealed that Ferrari had replaced him after a series of disappointing performances.
His move to Aston Martin was spearheaded by some tough races earlier in the season, but now it may be a turnaround. After a strong Monaco weekend, Vettel was “Driver of the Day” and secured his first points of the season.

His recent appearances also worried former world champion Damon Hill, who at times feared for the German’s career.
What did Hill say about Sebastian Vettel?
The former Williams driver was bothered by the fact that Vettel ran into a “Stroll trap” after signing for Aston Martin, where things can be inclined towards Lance Stroll, as his father Lawrence Stroll has a 16.7% stake the company has.
“It’s been worrying for a while, I think he made it out of the swamp just in time. I think there was a time when it looked like he was sinking into that kind of mud, and I could imagine him starting to think, ‘Am I just trapped here?’ A stroll trap with a stroll family that makes things for Lance? ”Said the 1996 world champion.

“It would be easy to think like that, and it would have been disastrous if you started to believe that they didn’t want you to be okay. But he’s strong enough to change that.

“He’s put in some strong performances, got to know the car better and is heading in the right direction,” said Damon Hill.
Nevertheless, the ex-world champion was happy about Vettel in fifth across the finish line, his best performance in a long time.
