Hamilton loses performance in FP2 and has to stop training

Lewis Hamilton came to a halt in the second free practice session of the Dutch Grand Prix. After eight minutes of driving, the British driver announced that he had lost the power supply and then parked his car.

With his first time in the first free practice session, the world championship leader got off to an excellent start into the race weekend. Hamilton was faster than Max Verstappen, who finished second. The next few hours will show how big the problems Mercedes are.

Hamilton fans under Orange Army: fans pay £ 1,600 for airplane banners

Hamilton turned the engine off himself, suggesting the team found the problem in their data graphs. This is better for Hamilton when compared to the engine stalling on its own. The Briton also checked the back of the car for fire but saw nothing. This is different from Vettel’s Aston Martin, where smoke came from the Mercedes engine in the FP1.
