Aston Martin F1 leaves satisfied with the Japanese Grand Prix, during which Sebastian Vettel delivered a good performance to clinch sixth place. Lance Stroll got off to a great start from the back of the grid, but he couldn’t make it back to the top 10.
The Silverstone-based team is now only 7 points from sixth place in the constructors’ championship still occupied by Alfa Romeo F1, and Mike Krack is pleased that his team has another good result after that of Singapore.
“Once the race started again, it turned out to be great although not very long,” rejoiced the Luxembourg leader.
« But most importantly, it provided great entertainment for the ever-enthusiastic Japanese fans who braved the conditions in the stands, as well as the spectators around the world who remained glued to their televisions despite the long hiatus. »
« From Aston Martin’s point of view, we got sixth place for the second race in a row thanks to the good driving of Sebastian, whose race was aided by good strategy and a superb pit stop which allowed him to come out ahead of Nicholas Latifi. . »
« Lance pushed hard on his second set of intermediate tyres, which was another good strategic move by the team, and finished a solid 12th. »
