Monza is known for its traffic both on the track and in the pit lane. All drivers want to get out at the same time and on the track everyone tries to get a slipstream from a driver in front of them. There were also some dangerous moments in qualifying today.

No punishment for Mazepin
Nikita Mazepin was also named commissioner after getting in the way of Robert Kubica’s lap in Q1. FIA commissioners believe that both the driver and the team did everything in their power not to get in the way of Kubica, so Mazepin avoided a starting penalty.
