F1’s Blue Riband event – the Monaco Grand Prix – returns to the calendar for the 2021 season after falling victim to the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic that forced last year’s event to be canceled.

2020 was the first year since 1954 that the principality did not host a Grand Prix, but F1 cars will be back on the famous streets of Monte Carlo this weekend.

Lewis Hamilton won the final Monaco race in 2019 after repelling Max Verstappen’s relentless attacks. The seven-time world champion is aiming for a repetition this time in order to further expand his advantage over the Red Bull driver in the championship.
