Practice 3 starts on April 17th at 10 a.m. and qualifying starts at 1 p.m.

F1 calendar 2021

A coronavirus-related disruption means that, as in 2020, cars are whizzing on tracks that normally don’t appear on the Formula 1 calendar.

This includes Portimão in Portugal, which last year visited F1 for the first time in 25 years. The track was an exciting race for drivers and fans, so we’re looking forward to more of it.

However, the season will also return a few races that were not possible last year, including many of the far-flung “flyaway” venues. These include Australia, America, Brazil, and perhaps most of all Monaco.

28th March: Bahrain Grand Prix, Sakhir (start time: 4:00 p.m.)
April 18: Grand Prix of Emilia Romagna, Imola (start time: 2:00 p.m.)

August 1st: Hungarian Grand Prix, Budapest
29th August: Belgian Grand Prix, Spa-Francorchamps

How to watch F1 racing in the UK this year

Sky Sports F1

You can watch every race, qualification and training sessions on Sky Sports F1, which costs £ 18 a month for those who already pay for Sky TV, or £ 43 a month alongside Sky TV. The package also includes exclusive documentaries and interviews from the Sky Sports F1 team, as well as historic races.

You can also watch Now TV, which offers Sky Sports day tickets for £ 9.99 or monthly tickets for £ 33.99.

Channel 4 cover

For those on a tight budget, there are again expanded highlights of all F1 races on Channel 4, which also show the live coverage of the Grand Prix of Great Britain in July. Highlights will also be available on the broadcaster’s on-demand service, All 4.

Channel 4 will show the highlights of the 2021 Grand Prix of Bahrain on Saturday, March 27th at 6:30 p.m. and the highlights of the race on Sunday, March 28th, at 7:30 p.m. Again Steve Jones will be accompanied by David Coulthard and Mark Webber to present tasks and analyzes.

Formula 1: drive to survive

Don’t miss the third season of the exclusive Netflix series Formula 1: Drive to Survive, which went live today on the streaming service. It’s a brilliant behind-the-scenes look at the sport that reveals a lot more of the drama, tantrums, and tears that are often not seen by regular television cameras. Hearing only F1 team members swear was quite a revelation when the first series aired, but it makes the characters involved in the sport a lot more human.

The third season includes the shortened 2020 F1 championship and focuses on Lewis Hamilton, Daniel Ricciardo and other top drivers as Covid-19 turned the world upside down.
