Could the Aston Martin F1 car look like this?

Could the Aston Martin F1 car look like this?

In 2021 the Racing Point F1 team will transform into the Aston Martin team, with this move dropping the bright pink livery of the current team. Could the new racing car look like this?

These renderings were sent to us by CarScoops reader Oclay Tuncay Karabulut and show what the racing driver could look like with a radically different paint job. The base of the depicted car is black, but then has light green accents on the front wing, the sides, the rear wing and the wheels. In contrast to the bright green are a handful of pink accents for the title sponsor BWT.

While Racing Point’s current pink livery is easy to spot on the circuit, it feels a bit stark and cheap compared to other F1 teams’ color schemes. While the Aston Martin F1 livery is unlikely to look like the one pictured here, we know it will be completely new.

Back in September, team owner Lawrence Stroll announced in an interview with Autosport that the car would include British Racing Green in its design. It goes without saying that the team has already reviewed initial design concepts and confirmed that some areas of the vehicle will be executed in pink.

In addition to changing the name of the Racing Point team for 2021, Sergio Perez also let go and won four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel for a multi-year contract. The German was told ahead of the start of this year’s season that his services would not be needed for 2021 as Ferrari is putting its future in the hands of Charles Leclerc and new signing Carlos Sainz.
