Lawrence Stroll has revealed that Sebastian Vettel is Aston Martin’s highest paid employee and believes the former F1 Champion is doing “a great job” for the team.
Vettel moved to Aston Martin ahead of the current season and despite a slow start with no points in his first four races, he has since improved to 10th and a podium finish at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

“Is he our most expensive employee? Yes, “revealed Stroll. “How do I rate his season so far? I think he started slowly and is up to date at the moment.
“The slow start also had to do with the difficulties we had testing where we had very, very little [time], first of all, I think we only had three days, and [he had] one and a half days of the three days.
“We had all kinds of breakdowns with the car, so the running time was missing. So yeah, it’s the most expensive one, but I think it does a great job.”
Stroll did “an extraordinary job
Stroll’s son Lance has equalized Vettel’s previous form and despite being 12 points behind his teammates, the Canadian scored more points in individual races than the four-time champion.
“I think Lance did an exceptional job with his pole performance and several podiums – he’s all 22 years old,” said Stroll Sr.
“He competes with Sebastian this year. I think they are probably even so I have no concerns or feelings that Lance is lacking in performance.
“As he grows he will get more experience, and as he gets more experience he will get stronger like anyone Lance’s age. It’s not just for him.
“So I have absolutely no concerns.”
