New year, new look for the newest team in F1 as Aston Martin launches the logo and teases the green color scheme for the 2021 season. The team, formerly Racing Point, will have Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll as drivers this year

Aston Martin has officially started its “exciting” Formula 1 journey with the launch of a new logo and livery for the 2021 season as the rebranded team set off.

The name Racing Point is no longer represented in Formula 1 after an official change to the Aston Martin Formula 1 team on January 1st. The British luxury car brand is bringing a works team to the starting line for the first time in 60 years.

The team welcomes four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel from Ferrari to their ranks alongside Lance Stroll and wants to build on the great improvement at Racing Point and fourth place last season.

With a major rebranding comes a fresh look. Aston Martin will line up in green at the start of the new campaign currently slated for March 21 in Australia.

Her logo hinted at it while a short YouTube video teased Aston Martin’s traditional green stripes with yellow accents.

The team will unveil its F1 car and paint scheme for 2021 in February.

About the move to Aston Martin, team boss Otmar Szafnauer said: “Representing such a cult brand is a great privilege for every member of the team.

Aston Martin will be one of 10 teams on the grid this year, but not the only team to be renamed – as Renault becomes Alpine F1.
