Aston Martin F1 signs Cognizant in a "striking" sponsorship deal

The American IT company Cognizant now has ambitious plans to expand into international markets such as Great Britain, France, Germany, Australia and Singapore.

As part of the new sponsorship deal, valued at between £ 20 million and £ 30 million per season, the team will compete as the Aston Martin Cognizant F1.

“Aston Martin’s return to Formula 1 after more than 60 years of absence is a milestone in the history of the sport,” said Stroll.

“Everyone knows what Aston Martin stands for, but the Formula 1 team will allow us to take the essence of the brand to new places and build on the strong foundation laid by previous iterations of the team.

“I am very proud that with the support of Cognizant we can start this new chapter.

“In today’s world as the digital revolution continues, I can’t think of a more suitable or valuable partner to work with us to make Aston Martin one of the best teams in the sport.”

In addition to title sponsorship, Cognizant will use its IT skills to equip the Aston Martin F1 team with computer and software solutions for digital transformation.

Chief Marketing Executive of the company, Gaurav Chand, was a key figure in negotiating the agreement.

“Formula 1 is technology advancement and the technology makes such a big difference,” he commented. “Our services correspond to the next generation of digital services, in which Cognizant has extensive know-how.

The 23rd Formula 1 racing season starts on March 21st with the Australian Grand Prix and ends in Abu Dhabi in December. The first ever World Championship race in Saudi Arabia is on this year’s schedule.
