Aston Martin F1 continues BWT collaboration

  • Partnership aims to help Aston Martin reduce plastic waste
  • Aston Martin also announces Peroni Libera 0.0% deal

The Formula 1 team Aston Martin Cognizant will continue its partnership with Best Water Technology (BWT) after signing a multi-year extension.

The Austrian company for water treatment technology has been working with the team since 2017, when it was still called Force India and then Racing Point with a striking pink paintwork.

Unlike last season, BWT will not take on the role of title sponsor for Aston Martin, but will support the team to a lesser extent.

As part of the deal, BWT accents and logos will appear on Aston Martin’s 2021 Challenger, which is slated to be unveiled on March 3rd. BWT will also work with the team to promote sustainability and reduce plastic waste.

“BWT will support our efforts to become more sustainable in all business areas, but especially in route operations – a goal that is in line with Formula 1’s own sustainability goals,” said Otmar Szafnauer, Aston Martin team principal, in a statement.

“This is a strong and historic partnership that is entering an important new era and we are all excited to see what we can achieve together.”

Elsewhere, Aston Martin has announced a long-term, multi-year partnership with the non-alcoholic beer Peroni Libera 0.0%.

The drink will be served at the team’s motorhome during most Grands Prix and some external events, including activations in the city center.

Peroni Libera 0.0% will also help Aston Martin create a new content campaign with drivers Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll.

In return, the brand will receive branding on the vehicle paintwork and team kits from Aston Martin for the duration of the sponsorship.

The 2021 Formula 1 season begins on March 26th at the Bahrain International Circuit.

Aston Martin has extended its partnership with BWT.
