Especially on Sundays, drivers of the respective teams can stand out from the rest of the field, which the much more experienced Fernando Alonso has long recognized.
“I think we are doing well in every respect,” argued the Spaniard to Motorsport-Total. “We may not have a car that can compete with AlphaTauri or Aston Martin, but we can fight them on Sundays and get points.” Alpine is currently fifth in the championship and is around six points behind Ferrari.
