A Formula 1 race can be intense and dehydrated a driver as he deals with intense force while driving on the racetrack. Therefore, it is very important that a driver’s drinking pipe is properly connected during a race. Unfortunately, Kimi Raikkonen has had some problems in this regard in the past and this again turned out to be a problem for the Finn in Monaco.

Raikkonen, who was driving for Ferrari at the time, could not use his drinking pipe at the Hungarian Grand Prix. Kimi was walking back and forth on the team radio because the whistle had come off during the race.

The 41-year-old didn’t have the best qualifying on Saturday. Although he made it into the second session, he only managed to set the 14th fastest lap. Raikkonen was further disappointed when he finished 11th and narrowly missed his first points of the season.

“But that’s Monaco and not much has happened in my race,” he concluded.
The Alfa Romeo driver has yet to score his first points of the season. He hopes the upcoming race in Baku will be his chance to have an impact on the drivers’ standings.
