In addition, Frederic Vasseur, Team Principal of Alfa Romeo, will lead the young Fittipaldi at the Sauber Academy. Vasseur said: “Investing in young talent has always been a central part of the Sauber Motorsport racing philosophy.”
Vasseur also said the academy will guide these young drivers through their careers. It will also provide them with the tools, training, and resources to enable them to have a successful career in motorsport.
However, 13-year-old Emerson isn’t the only family member still racing. His nephew Enzo is a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy. His other nephew Pietro is also currently a test and reserve driver for the Haas F1 team. Both are older than him, however.

Emerson Fittipaldi Jr has a solid reputation that needs to be lived up to. His father won the World Cup in 1972 and 1974. The boy hopes to replicate his father’s success in F1 when he grows up. So far, he seems to be on the right track to succeed.
