Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN takes another step in the field of technological innovation by announcing a partnership with AM Solutions, a brand of the Rösler Group. As part of the agreement to strengthen the team’s post-processing of additively manufactured parts, Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN will acquire three S1 systems from AM Solutions – 3D post-processing technology to take the automation, economy and repeatability of post-processing to the next level.
AM Solutions is a brand of Rösler, one of the world’s leading experts in surface finishing, to offer tailor-made products and services that are tailored to the challenges and needs of additive manufacturing. Since 3D printing has an increasingly profound influence on every aspect of industrial production, including that of a Formula 1 team, AM Solutions’ lead helps the team gain access to industrial solutions for the partially to fully automatic post-processing of polymer and Metal additives for all printing technologies.
The Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN C41 competing in the 2021 Formula 1 World Championship has multiple 3D printed parts and the ability to have more precise items made in an efficient and cost-effective manner will bring benefits to the team. The new S1 system for the automatic de-powdering and cleaning of small to medium quantities of 3D-printed parts offers numerous technical innovations, such as a new basket design for optimal distribution and circulation of the parts, a specially developed wear protection lining made of stain-free, antistatic polyurethane, ATEX conformity and safe and ergonomic machine operation.
