Comments from key people and drivers themselves have shown an air of mystery. And since most teams haven’t confirmed their driver line-up for 2021, it only adds to the intrigue.
Haas and Alfa Romeo were extremely active with their possible combinations. But if this latest news is to be believed, a place will be taken at Alfa Romeo.

Kimi Raikkonen will continue with Alfa Romeo next season
According to a new report from Outlet Blick, Kimi Raikkonen will continue with Alfa Romeo for the 2021 season. The veteran driver reportedly had to give his decision by September 15. And now he has apparently confirmed his intention to stay with the Swiss team.

This likely means that Antonio Giovinazzi will be scrutinized even more closely. The rumors that are spreading in the paddock suggest that Mick Schumacher would be an excellent choice to replace the Italian driver.
And his ‘baptism of fire’ in F1 could come earlier than expected. On October 9, the young Ferrari Academy driver could drive an Alfa Romeo at the Nürburgring.
The team could use the free practice sessions as an opportunity to test Mick Schumacher’s skills. And since it’s a home race for the Schumacher family, it could be the ideal introduction to F1 for Mick.

Raikkonen wants to score in Sochi
The Finn looked good in parts during the two free practice sessions in Russia. However, the C39 car was discolored, about 2 seconds behind pack leader Valtteri Bottas. But it seems Raikkonen is calmly confident that he’ll end up in the points this time around.

Räikkönen scored his first points of the season with 9th place in the Tuscan GP. So far, he has mostly landed in the lower half of the start, with the car simply not being the brand. It will be interesting to see his rapprochement in Sochi as he will hope to build on his momentum from the last race.
