Raikkonen missed the last two races at Zandvoort and Monza after testing positive for COVID-19.

Robert Kubica represented Raikkonen in both races and showed a good performance as he had not driven in Formula 1 since the 2019 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Raikkonen used social media to give us a quick update on his condition.

“I’m doing well. See you at the next GP, ”he wrote on Instagram.

Alfa Romeo lost even more ground to Williams in the constructors’ championship in Raikkonen’s absence. 19 points separated the two teams in the race for P8.

In the run-up to the Dutch Grand Prix, the 2007 champion announced his retirement from the sport after a 20-year career.
