In reality, however, it shouldn’t be, as Mick switched to Haas instead. Unfortunately for Mick it was not a solid start to the F1 campaign with the American team, as he scored zero points on the first seven race weekends. Additionally, the chances that Haas will end their fights this season are very slim.

Will Mick Schumacher jump on Alfa Romeo in 2022?
As reported by Planet F1, Mick didn’t rule out a move to Alfa Romeo next season amid ongoing theories and claims. The German said that his focus was entirely on the present, but also asserted that there could be news in the near future.
“I live in the here and now,” he says. “I haven’t thought much about next year. We’ll see what happens in the end. I am sure you will hear it if something happens. “

Haas got off to a terrible start to the season. And the fact that none of their drivers have Formula 1 experience affects the team’s development plans. The Americans are currently by far the slowest team in the field.
But Mick, on the other hand, pulled every ounce of power out of the Ferrari-powered car to temporarily beat one of the Williams drivers.
Who could replace Mick at Haas?
At the moment, none of the Alfa Romeo drivers have secured their future with the team. While Kimi could retire from Formula 1 due to his age, Antonio Giovinazzi’s contract expires in 2021.
However, given the shape of the latter this season, Alfa Romeo does not want to let go of the Italian and will most likely offer to extend his stay.

Therefore, regardless of who leaves Alfa Romeo, there will be a vacant seat at Haas alongside Mazepin. And right now, Ferrari’s test driver Callum Ilott appears to be the best candidate for the second seat at Haas.
