Max Verstappen has warned title rival Lewis Hamilton of the threat posed by George Russell as he prepares to move to Mercedes. On Thursday Russell announced that he has already been informed of where he will be going next season as rumors about his future continue to mount.
The 23-year-old has been heavily touted for joining the German manufacturer alongside Hamilton and forming a potentially explosive British pairing.
Mercedes is currently seven points ahead of Red Bull in the constructors ‘championship, while Hamilton is three points ahead of Verstappen in the drivers’ championship.
The gap narrowed when the Belgian Grand Prix was canceled after only two laps behind the safety car and the Dutchman was crowned race winner and awarded half points.
