Gran Turismo 7 has been updated with five new cars on this December update. The game is available on PS4 and PlayStation 5 from 4 March 2022.
Sony Interactive Entertainment and Polyphpony Digital have announced a new free update for Gran Turismo 7 in which players will be able to enjoy new content for the PlayStation® exclusive driving title. Update 1.27, available from December 15, features the recently announced Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo as well as other spectacular vehicles and new locations to portray your cars in Scapes mode.
Leading the collection of new cars is the long-awaited Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo. The Italian brand’s first racing concept developed exclusively for virtual competition arrives with a futuristic design based on the brand’s classic racing cars of the 60s and 70s. Its engine is the same that powers the Ferrari 499P but taken to the extreme to be able to develop up to 1030hp to which are added another 325hp thanks to three electric drives.
The Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo will be available for purchase at Brand Central from December 23rd, but from tomorrow users who answered correctly the corresponding question of the GT7 Viewers Campaign in the game will get it as a gift in advance.
From Italy also comes the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm. This special edition of the Giulia was launched in 2020 to celebrate the brand’s 110th anniversary. It is based on the Quadrifoglio model but still with a higher output that allows it to reach 540 hp. Handling has also been improved thanks to a reduction of 100 kilograms and the 50mm widening of both the front and rear track width. It also has aerodynamic parts developed in conjunction with Alfa Romeo’s F1 team partner Sauber.
Continuing with the supercars, the Bugatti Chiron will also be available. This model had a production limited to 500 units in what is a more than worthy successor to the iconic Veyron. Its exterior features large lines that surround the cabin and serve as air intakes. Its chassis, made of carbon fiber, provides a rigidity at the height of an LMP1. Inside, it houses an 8-liter, 16-cylinder engine that allows it to do 0-100km/h in 2.5 seconds and even reach 490km/h. In 2018, its Sport version was presented, with an upgraded chassis and in 2019 the limited edition Chiron Sport 110 Ans Bugatti.
The Chevrolet Corvette underwent a historic change in 2019, when its eighth generation was presented, which, for the first time went on to use mid-engine instead of front. This Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray therefore abandons the iconic long front hood and completely changes its bodywork to adapt to the new mid-engine profile. The V8 inside is a new-generation LT2 with 6.2L displacement with fuel-saving function thanks to cylinder deactivation. The new generation Corvette has proven to be a serious competitor in GT racing.
Finally, the update offers us a vehicle recognizable at first glance. The Toyota Celica GT-FOUR Rally Car (ST205) arrived with a larger body than its predecessor and a better weight distribution thanks to a longer wheelbase. The Celica’s participation in the 1995 World Rally Championship and its fierce competition against the revamped Subaru Impreza was highly controversial. In the seventh round of the world championship, an irregularity in the engine intake flange system was discovered, resulting in the withdrawal of all points earned in the season and a ban from participating in the following season.
The update also offers a new Scapes location in the Norwegian archipelago of Lofoten, with fantastic places to continue photographing your car collection.
