Alfa Romeo starts the C41 on February 22nd in Poland RaceFans

Alfa Romeo C39, Circuit de Catalunya, 2020

Alfa Romeo will present its car for the 2021 F1 season in the Polish capital, Warsaw, where its title sponsor Orlen is located.

The car will be unveiled on February 22nd, more than two weeks before pre-season testing begins on March 12th in Bahrain. More details on the exact time of launch will be confirmed later, the team said.

While last year’s car had the chassis designation C39, its replacement will be known as the C41.

Orlen-backed driver Robert Kubica, who joined the team from Williams last year, is expected to remain as Alfa Romeo’s test and reserve driver for the new season. Last year he made five appearances in first training sessions for the team at the Grand Prix of Styria, Hungary, 70th anniversary, Bahrain and Abu Dhabi.

Alfa Romeo finished eighth in the 2020 constructors’ championship. The racing drivers Kimi Räikkönen and Antonio Giovinazzi were kept for the new season. Following the postponement of the Australian Grand Prix, the championship begins on March 28 with the Bahrain Grand Prix.
