Alfa Romeo Formula 1 team unveils an F1 Art Car. On the eve of the new Formula One season, the Alfa Romeo Sauber team has unveiled an Art Car based on its 2022 single-seater. The F1 car has been decorated by German graffiti artist Boogie and will be auctioned off at the end of the year.

On the eve of the 2023 F1 season, the Alfa Romeo team has unveiled an Art Car based on its 2022 single-seater and decorated by renowned graffiti artist Boogie. The project, which is purely artistic, aims to bring fans together and kick off the new season.

Boogie, a German-born graffiti artist, designer and illustrator living in Switzerland, has an artistic career that has seen him create content in more than 40 countries, with some of the world’s biggest brands and most accomplished artists of his generation.

The conception of this art project, however, is not just a publicity stunt, but the beginning of a campaign to bring fans closer to the team. Alfa Romeo’s partners, JigSpace, have created a bespoke 3D model of the car, in its distinctive livery, which will be available for fans to enjoy in augmented reality (AR). The experience is available via JigSpace.

The Art Car will also be accessible in real life, as it travels to London for an appearance on the Stake (team sponsor) stand at ICE London 2023, the Global Gaming Hub held at ExCel from 7-9 February, in a showcase of the team’s partnership. In addition, further appearances are planned in Zurich, inviting the local community to experience the car, as well as in some of the cities visited by Formula 1 throughout the 2023 campaign, but these are not yet known.

Also to bring fans closer to the team, a group of people will be invited to the team’s headquarters in Hinwil to see the Art Car, and to underline how alive the Art Car project is, fans will work with artist Boogie to add their own personal touch.

Finally, after a year-long campaign, the Boogie-decorated Art Car will be auctioned by Memento Exclusives via F1 Authentics, to raise funds for Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake’s charity partner, Save the Children.
