
Kimi Raikkonen has to start from the pit lane at the Brazilian Grand Prix. The Finn already had bad luck in the sprint race, where he fell back to last place after contact with team-mate Antonio Giovinazzi. He eventually recovered to P18 but now has to start from the pit lane due to a change in the car’s setup.
The FIA document states that Alfa Romeo has replaced parts of the rear wing with a new specification and since the cars have been in Parc Ferme since Friday due to the new format, the sporting regulations are being violated. Changes were also made to the suspension of the number seven car.

No big problems for Alfa Romeo
As a result, Raikkonen will start from the pit lane today and Nikita Mazepin and Mick Schumacher will both gain a place. Räikkönen’s damage will be limited because although he was the last to come out on track after spinning in the sprint race, he was able to overtake both Haas drivers fairly quickly.
Raikkonen is currently contesting his final races in Formula 1 before Valtteri Bottas takes his place at Alfa Romeo. It is unclear who will sit alongside the current Mercedes driver, but all indications are that there will be clarity before the F1 field in Qatar gears up for next weekend’s inaugural Qatar Grand Prix.
