Alfa Romeo is preparing the international dynamic debut event of the new Giulia GTAm, which will take place on Sunday 18th April in the second round of the 2021 F1 World Championship in Imola.
The new Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm, which is presented in the brand’s classic red livery, has already visited the pit lane to take a photo with Alfa Romeo F1 drivers Kimi Räikkönen and Antonio Giovinazzi.

Both drivers participated in the development of the Giulia GTAm and helped Alfa Romeo refine its most aggressive and high performing product in decades. In addition, the Italian carmaker worked with the Sauber Engineering Team on some technical features of the model, including the 20-inch light alloy wheels with central locking and various carbon fiber parts.
The new Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm is the even tougher variant of the Giulia GTA and offers things like a more aggressive aero kit with a bigger front splitter and a huge carbon fiber rear wing, a back seat extinguishing system, a roll bar, no door panels and belts instead of normal ones Door handles for the ultimate race-car-for-the-road feeling.
The 2.9-liter V6 engine with two turbochargers has been upgraded to 532 PS (540 PS) instead of the 503 PS (510 PS) of the Quadrifoglio and is accompanied by a model-specific Akrapovic exhaust system for an “unmistakable” soundtrack. While Alfa Romeo hasn’t released the full numbers for the GTAm just yet, it does say the slightly less insane Giulia GTA will hit 100 km / h from a standing start in just 3.6 seconds thanks to a new launch control and a comprehensive diet, the 100 kg (220 lbs) removed from its weight number.
Alfa Romeo will only build 500 copies of the new Giulia GTA and GTAm together.
