Sauber Motorsport, manager and operator of the Alfa Romeo Racing Formula 1 team, has extended its partnership with the electronics company Acer.

With the one-year extension, the company will provide the team with a range of hardware such as laptops, tablets, computers, and monitors that can be used in all aspects of auto design and racing.

The new Acer technology will be used trackside and in the team’s home in Hinwil, Switzerland, while the Taiwanese company is also planning marketing activations with Alfa Romeo driver Kimi Räikkönen.

Key Sauber Motorsport members also receive advanced tablets to promote connectivity, collaboration and productivity.

“Our collaboration in 2020 highlighted the synergies between the world of high-end information technology and motorsport – both are highly competitive environments where the pursuit of performance is the constant goal and where every day opens up new opportunities for development,” said Frédéric Vasseur, Alfa Romeo Team Principal and Managing Director of Sauber Motorsport.

“The collaboration in 2021 is a natural result of this and we look forward to having a successful season together.”

The 2021 Formula 1 season begins on March 26th at the Bahrain International Circuit.
