The team led by Vasseur has yet to confirm its second driver for the coming season. The driver in question is Antonio Giovinazzi, who has not yet signed an extension. “If you take a young driver with you with a new car and start a new journey for F1 and the team, I think it would make a lot more sense to extend the contract, not a multi-year contract, but at least to be on the safe side that you don’t lose the driver after the first year, and I wanted to explain that beforehand, ”explained the French boss.
