What they have achieved so far is impressive. Mclaren and Gulf’s partnership is one of the most legendary in all of motorsport, starting all the way back in 1968. This first partnership would continue until the end of the 1973 season and saw the two companies work together in the F1 and Can-Am series , winning over 40 races between them. The 68-72 Can-Am series saw particular success, with Bruce McLaren himself behind one of the wheels helping to win 35 races, with 20 being first-second finishes.
