The 2022 Constructors’ Champions Red Bull faced a lot of criticism for their Budget Cap breach during the 2021 F1 season. As it has now resolved and hence died away, a new rival of the Milton Keynes-based team came up with a complaint against them. Mike Krack, the team principal of the Aston Martin F1 team, recently opened up against Christian Horner and his activities.

As per Next Gen Auto, Mike Krack revealed his dissatisfaction with the use of media by Horner and how every little thing is reported to the media overall. Mike Krack also emphasized how the media is often used in F1 to play politics.
On this, the 50-year-old executive shared, “I admit I was surprised by the small details that are reported in Formula 1. And how the media is often used to play politics. A team boss rushed to the media immediately afterward and complained that at the raise was not high enough.”

“I prefer to talk about the sport instead. The fans are interested in lap times, less in budgets or floors that are too soft. But maybe I’m not political enough. One thing is certain in any case: you must not overestimate all this and always keep calm,” further asserted Krack.
Apart from the political play behind the scenes, Red Bull boss Christian Horner had another ex-engineer criticize the budget cap complaints.
Ex F1 man has no sympathy for Christian Horner and his budget cap complaints
Red Bull boss Christian Horner has been one of the leading faces to talk about the increased budget cap for years now. The Briton has also been instrumental in the three percent raise FIA allowed the teams to adjust to the inflation. However, Horner said that wasn’t enough as Red Bull needed more to cater to the big team.

Ex-Formula 1 engineer Pat Symonds has no sympathy for Horner, nonetheless. Symonds shared in a report published by The Express. The former Williams also resorted to an example from his Grove-based team days and brought up how they always had a budget to work on.
Saying, “I have slightly less than zero sympathy,” for the Red Bull boss, Symonds made sure the teams know how to react to the cost cap. All the teams should react to increased costs and make hard decisions on their development program.
